Project Brief
Soler&Palau wanted to move their IoT web portal, ConnectAir, to a new tech stack in order to improve existing features by leveraging in-house expertise.
We were tasked with rewriting the back-end API, while mostly maintaining compatibility with the front-end user interface, to facilitate this transition within a tight project schedule.
The portal allows S&P customers to view and control their devices from anywhere in the world, using an intuitive dashboard which is tailored to the needs and feature set of each device. The application also implements multiple user roles, allowing users to permit temporary access to installers and enabling S&P administrations to support users with their devices.
Azure B2C was chosen to provide identity management and authentication through single-sign-on which, in future, could be used for authentication across all S&P applications.
